Start with what you want
Decide the piece, metal, stone size and budget before the sales start. Having a clear target stops you from being swayed by big percentage signs.
Compare specifications, not discounts

Watch for these traps
- "Total carat weight" confusion: 1 ct TW for a pair of studs means 0.50 ct each.
- Missing certificates: larger stones should have an IGI or GIA report.
- Vague wording: "diamond accents", "CZ" or "simulant" are not lab-grown diamonds.
- Short return windows: gifts need returns that extend past the holidays.
Prices keep improving
Lab-grown diamond prices have fallen steadily as production has scaled. That's great for shoppers, but it also means "original" prices can be outdated. Check current per-carat pricing across a few sellers.
